The van will depart your hostel at the ride’s listed start time (eg. 10:00am, 2:00pm, 3:00pm).
What should I wear?
Shorts are ideal. A short or long-sleeved shirt depending on the season. Helmet and riding gloves will be provided.
What should I bring?
You can bring water and a snack. Sunscreen is recommended at all times of year, and all times of day. We have water bottles and sunscreen in case you forget.
Will I need to sign a waiver?
Yes.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel before 24 hours prior to the ride’s start time for a full refund.
What if the weather is bad?
The tour will depart except in the event of a complete and sustained downpour. The bikes are waterproof, and the scenery is especially amazing after the rain (which is almost always short-lived in our Mediterranean climate).
What is the difficulty level of the Hollywood Sign Ride?
Difficulty: Beginner
The Hollywood Sign Ride takes place on paved park roads. Some sections are a bit bumpy and others are quite steep. However if you have ridden a bicycle a few times before and are comfortable doing so, you will find this route fun and relaxing.
What is the difficulty level of the Burbank Mountain Ride?
Difficulty: Intermediate
The Burbank Mountain Ride takes place on wide mountain trails of dirt and gravel. We use a trail called the Verdugo Motorway, which is a dirt fire access road of varying width and quality. For this route we use fat-tired e-bikes of high capability. If you have mountain biked before, you will have no problem riding this trail and fire road. If this is your first time mountain biking, we will go very slowly as this route can be quite steep.
